Randy Hess is a management consultant, executive coach and business
development executive with a strong record of accomplishment in
executive, leadership, and organization development. In his current
capacity as a Partner in
LeaderSight Consulting Group LLC, he provides top team coaching,
succession planning, assessment, and team strategic alignment.
In his previous role as Managing Principal for Spherion Human
Capital Consulting, where he was affiliated since 1997, he was
accountable for business development and account management. He
also oversaw service delivery and provided project management for
numerous large coaching and development engagements with some of
its largest clients.
Randy’s prior experience includes an extensive background
in managing consulting, organization development and human resource
activities, as both an internal and external consultant and leader.
As EVP and Partner in Nielsen and Associates, he spent approximately
eight years serving as an OD consultant in the auto industry. In
addition, as head of training / organization development at Frito-Lay,
a multi-billion unit of Pepsico, Inc., he helped strategize re-alignment
of the 10,000 member field sales organization. At JC Penney’s
corporate headquarters, he reported to the corporate executive
committee to guide organizational change projects globally and
across key business units as a senior project manager. In addition
he developed and approved new organizational structures for two
major divisions with over 50,000 employees as part of the corporate
HR group.
Randy’s interests have focused on leadership development,
succession planning, coaching and team optimization that aligns
core talent with business strategy. In addition to company and
consulting experience, he has taught management courses at Dallas
area universities such as SMU, UTD and UTA in areas such as human
resources, organization development and career planning. He has
a solid background in individual and team assessment, with certifications
in a large variety of 360 and individual assessment tools.
Randy has published articles in organization change and human
resource development, including co-authorship of a guide to change
consulting, The OD Sourcebook. He completed his education at the
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he received a B.S.
in Business Administration, an M.A. in Industrial Relations, and
a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior. |
